Pennsylvania General Assembly

• SB890 & HB2061: Equitable Athletic Opportunities in Pennsylvania High School
• SB1074: Healthy Birth for Incarcerated Women Act (banning shackling of pregnant prisoners)
• HB280: Protect women and families from discrimination in employment based on familial status
• HB1303: Amends the Freedom to Breastfeed Act to see workplace protections
  (This legislation is currently in the House Approriations Committee)

U.S. Congress

• HR3590: Health Care Reform - Please contact your Senators (Pennsylvania: Senator Casey and Senator Specter) to support Comprehensive Health Care Reform without abortion restrictions.
• HR3962: House version of Health Care Reform passed with Stupak-Pitts Amendment with abortion restrictions that go further than the current scope of the Hyde Amendment which prohibits federal funds from being used for abortion.
• HR 3017: Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)
  The WLP joined with 10 other women's organizations in a letter of support of HR 3017 currently before the House Committee on Education and Labor of the U.S. House of Representatives. If passed, ENDA would provide lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals with long overdue protection against discrimination in the workplace.
