Gender and Sex Discrimination

Since its founding in 1974, the Women’s Law Project has tirelessly advocated on behalf of the rights of women and girls. In schools and at home, on the athletic field and in the workforce, women and girls regularly encounter prejudice, making the efforts of the WLP necessary.

We have steadfastly challenged gender discrimination in education, sports, employment, insurance, family matters, and other arenas. We have worked to ensure equal access for women in public accommodations, as well as worked to prevent discrimination against LGBT individuals. We are committed to advancing gender equity in all spheres.
