What is Obamacare?
Under the Affordable Care Act, which is commonly called “Obamacare” or “Health Care Reform,” the goal of this marketplace is to give people high quality health coverage at an affordable price. Anyone can buy insurance through this new marketplace, no matter where she works, how old she is, whether she’s been sick before, or how much money she makes.
Many people will get tax credits that will help make health coverage affordable. Tax credits will be available to individuals who earn between 100% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level. Take a look at the Kaiser Family Foundation’s “Subsidy Calculator” to see how much help you might get (http://kff.org/interactive/subsidy-calculator/).
