Pennsylvanians for Choice

The Women’s Law Project is the convener of Pennsylvanians For Choice (PFC), a broad statewide coalition that has fought for reproductive health and freedom since 1989. Among many accomplishments, PFC has:

  • obtained state funding for family planning;
  •  lobbied against the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act;
  • defeated child exclusion policies for families on welfare;
  • stopped a Pennsylvania abortion ban similar to legislation which was enacted in thirty other states.
PFC has also worked to protect school districts’ authority to provide sex education and won equitable insurance coverage of prescription contraceptives in several Pennsylvania workplaces.  Please visit the PFC web site for more information.
