Nan Langen Steketee joins Women’s Law Project as Development Director

Philadelphia, PA (November 1, 2007) -- The Women’s Law Project Board of Directors and staff are pleased to announce that Nan Langen Steketee has joined its staff in the position of Development Director.  Carol Tracy, Director of the Law Project said, “We are pleased that Nan has agreed to work with us to implement our strategic plan and to secure the resources necessary to implement it fully. We are also pleased to welcome her back to Philadelphia.”

Ms. Steketee most recently served as Bay Area Development Manager for Earth Share of California, a federation of environmental organizations raising money through workplace giving campaigns in that state. She was based in the San Francisco area for 6 years.

Nan is well acquainted with the public interest community in Philadelphia having served as Executive Director of the Center for Responsible Funding here in the city for 20 years through 2000. In that capacity she worked with civil rights organizations and anti-poverty organizations on increasing resources for program work.

Ms. Steketee joins the Law Project as it moves to expand its resource base to increase the percentage of revenue from individual donors. She will be working with the board on their annual giving, a major gifts campaign, and donor briefings as well as overseeing the all aspects of development and communications.
