The Women’s Law Project’s Western Pennsylvania office is holding seminar series events on Title IX and equity in athletics at various locations in Pittsburgh. The events will feature Susan Frietsche, WLP Senior Staff Attorney, Christina Cann, WLP Program Assistant, and Beth Choike, lead plaintiff in Choike v. Slippery Rock University. Over its 35-year history, the WLP has engaged in extensive advocacy and litigation to both expand the opportunities available to girls and women in intercollegiate and interscholastic athletics and eliminate discriminatory treatment. The events will be held at the following times and locations:

  • Monday, March 23 at 5:00 PM: Squirrel Hill Branch of the Carnegic Library of Pittsburgh, 5801 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217
  • Monday, March 30 at 5:00 PM: Homewood Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 7101 Hamilton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15208
